  • 6 oz thick-cut bacon, diced
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium sweet onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp ketchup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp mustard (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon, leaving some fat in the skillet.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned completely.
  4. Stir in uncooked gnocchi, beef broth, ketchup, and mustard. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 5-7 minutes until gnocchi are tender.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar until melted and gooey. Top with crispy bacon before serving.
