- 8 oz ziti pasta
- 2 cups fresh baby spinach
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta in salted boiling water until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then add spinach and cook until wilted (about 2-3 minutes).
- In a bowl, mix ricotta with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the marinara sauce, followed by half of the cooked ziti and half of the ricotta mixture. Repeat layers and top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
