- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1 can cherry pie filling (21 oz)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups whipped topping
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package instructions using eggs and water. Pour into the baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
- Poke holes all over the top of the cooled cake using a fork.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and half of the whipped topping until smooth.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the cake, then spoon cherry pie filling on top.
- Spread remaining whipped topping over the cherries. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
