Description

Ingredients

  • Sourdough Bread
  • Fresh Mushrooms (cremini or shiitake)
  • Garlic
  • Butter
  • Gruyère or Cheddar Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. Sauté sliced mushrooms and minced garlic in butter over medium heat until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
  2. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. Layer the sautéed mushrooms and cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice; top with another slice, butter side up.
  4. Grill in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown on both sides (3-4 minutes each) and cheese is melted (about 2-3 minutes).
  5. Cut in half and serve immediately.
