  • 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
  • 15 oz fresh ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat until fully cooked.
  3. Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and dried herbs until smooth.
  5. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom. Layer with noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese; repeat until all ingredients are used.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
