- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Activate the yeast: In a bowl, mix warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
- Create the dough: Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Add melted butter and activated yeast mixture. Mix until combined, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Let it rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Prepare filling & shape rolls: Mix softened butter, cinnamon, sugar, and chopped strawberries in another bowl. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, and roll tightly into a log.
- Slice & arrange: Cut log into equal pieces (approximately 12). Arrange slices in a greased baking dish.
- Bake & frost: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. While cooling slightly, whip together cream cheese frosting ingredients until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls.
