  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch ginger (grated)
  • Optional vegetables: bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until clear. Combine with 2 cups water in a saucepan; bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add ground turkey to the skillet; cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in teriyaki sauce; stir well and let simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  5. While cooking, chop green onions and toast sesame seeds in a dry pan until golden.
  6. To serve, scoop rice into bowls and top with the teriyaki turkey mix, garnishing with green onions and sesame seeds.
