Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs by covering them with water in a pot, bringing to a boil, then covering and removing from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Transfer boiled eggs to an ice bath for at least 10 minutes to cool.
  3. Peel eggs gently under running water, then slice each in half lengthwise and scoop out yolks into a bowl.
  4. Mix yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. If desired, mix in food coloring for added spookiness. Spoon or pipe filling back into egg whites.
  6. Garnish each egg with paprika and place olive slices as eyes before serving.
