  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter (for greasing and sautéing)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish with butter.
  2. Thinly slice the russet potatoes to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  3. In a bowl, mix sharp cheddar, Gruyère, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic until fragrant, then pour in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Layer the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, adding cheese mixture between layers until all ingredients are used.
  6. Pour the garlic cream mixture over the layered potatoes.
