Eggnog Poke Cake is the ultimate holiday dessert that combines the creamy, spiced goodness of eggnog with a moist cake base. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for all your festive gatherings, bringing warmth and nostalgia to every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1 cup full-fat eggnog
  • 1 cup whipped topping (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine yellow cake mix and eggnog until just mixed; do not overmix.
  3. Pour batter into prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool slightly, then poke holes across the surface using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix remaining eggnog with half of the whipped topping; pour over the poked cake.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving. Top with remaining whipped topping and sprinkle with nutmeg.
