  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • Juice of 2 large oranges (approx. 1/2 cup)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together orange juice, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Allow to marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  4. Transfer marinated salmon onto the prepared baking sheet, reserving leftover marinade for later. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily.
  5. Baste with reserved marinade in the last 5 minutes of cooking and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes if desired.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
