  • 2 lbs Russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter (for greasing)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream and minced garlic.
  4. Layer half the potato slices in the baking dish; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Add half the cheddar and Gruyère cheeses over the potatoes.
  6. Repeat layering with remaining potato slices and cheeses.
  7. Pour the cream mixture over the layers evenly.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil, sprinkle with Parmesan, then bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
