- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp butter (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
- Thinly slice the russet potatoes into even rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat until warm but not boiling.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared dish; pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle with half of each cheese type.
- Repeat the layering with remaining potatoes, sauce, and cheeses.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
