Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (preferably grass-fed)
  • 4 slices fresh Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup leeks, finely chopped (about 2 medium leeks)
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. Rinse and chop leeks finely; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped leeks, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into patties about 3/4 inch thick. Create an indentation in the center of each patty.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375°F). Lightly oil the grates.
  5. Grill patties for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness is reached (130°F for medium-rare). Add Swiss cheese during the last minute to melt.
  6. Toast brioche buns on the grill cut-side down for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Assemble burgers by placing patties on buns and adding preferred toppings before serving.
