  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Buttercream frosting ingredients:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake pans with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix Guinness beer, vegetable oil, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Combine with dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Scoop batter into liners until two-thirds full.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool before frosting with buttercream.
